Harry Bellard - Board Chair
Mr. Bellard is a retired Sales and Marketing Executive with the Quaker Oats Company. He served on the Board of Directors of Western States Southern Area Youth Program Inc. (SAYPI) dba The First Tee of South Los Angeles for 13 years and as President of the Cosmopolitan Golf Club for 13 years.
Ken Glaspie - Board Treasurer
Mr. Glaspie is a tax accountant and mortgage consultant, serve as Corporate Secretary. Mr. Glaspie has served on the Board of Directors for the Girls Club of Los Angeles for 29 years and for the California Association of Mortgage Brokers, South Los Angeles Chapter for 4 years. Additionally he served as the treasurer for the Cosmopolitan Golf Club for 13 years
Leo Hill Sr. - Board Director
Mr. Hill retired from Lockheed Martin Aeronautic Company as the Director of Diversity and Equal Opportunity Programs. Mr. Hill is designated as a Certified Professional Manager with a Certification in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from UCLA, additionally he holds a Bachelor's degree in Education from California State University, Los Angeles. He brings many years of leadership and community service experience to the organization. Mr. Hill currently works as a realtor for Keller Williams Realty
Bobby Smith - Board Director
Mr. Smith retired from UCLA as Senior Associate Director of Gift Planning. He has served on the Board of Directors of Stevens House Scholarship; Penny Lane: UCLA’s Black Alumni Association; and the Cosmopolitan Golf Club. Mr. Smith is also the former President of the following organizations: Planned Giving Round Table of Southern California; L.A. Cougar Club; and Cosmopolitan Golf Club.
George Weaver
Mr. Weaver attended the University of California, Los Angeles to achieve three goals: pursue a career in medicine, pursue theatre and play baseball. During this period, he developed and launched Legacy 2000 a comprehensive youth development program that focused on life and social skills, academic achievement, behavioral consequences, and health. After working as an environmental consultant for two years, Mr. Weaver earned a BS in Environmental Engineering and assumed an appointed position as Chair of the Industry Waste Classification and Toxicology Focus Group. Mr. Weaver retired from the environmental field to pursue his first passion - youth development. Today, Mr. Weaver continues to pursue this goal through his work as a consultant with the Los Angeles Brotherhood Crusade. Mr. Weaver helped develop and implement the Brotherhood Crusade Ten-Year Plan. The Plan serves as a national model for gang prevention and youth development.
Karin Dean - Board Member
Karin has worked in the Information Technology field for over 15 years. She currently supports the financial website and mobile aplication for Toyota Financial Services. Karin has volunteered at faith based organizations for over 20 years assisting with administration and finance, and currently serves as treasurer and a board member for a local faith based organization. She has also worked with other volunteers to plan special events and to develop strategic fundraising opportunities. Karin is a board member for World Centered Outreach a non profit organization that provides free tutoring services to under served youth in the Southwest Los Angeles area.
Karin received her Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems with a minor in Math from California State University, Los Angeles. Karin is a member of the Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce and a participant in the Riordan Leadership training program.
